Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Package Engineer for the Therme Manchester project. You will coordinate and manage designated work packages, working closely with the wider project team, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners to deliver works safely and to programme.

This role requires a degree in civil engineering or construction management, strong package-management experience and knowledge of building products and standards.

Qualifications

• Be degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field
• Have the ability to prepare a 3 week look-ahead programme with assistance of project planner
• Have proven working experience in package management
• Have experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage
• Be knowledgeable of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards?
• Have or be working working towards a construction industry related Professional membership (e.g ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc)

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and managing designated work packages, ensuring works are delivered safely and to required quality standards
• Organising and conducting regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety and to update Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director
