Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. seeks an experienced Package Engineer to lead and coordinate designated work packages on a major Therme Manchester development in Manchester.

You will work closely with the project team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery in line with the project programme. The role requires interfacing across internal and external teams, organizing progress meetings and ensuring SRM obligations are understood and discharged.

Qualifications

• Must hold a civil engineering degree or related field; construction management considered.
• Ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with planner support.
• Proven experience in package management on projects.
• Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant regulations/standards.
• Working towards or holding a construction industry professional membership (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage designated work packages, ensuring safe delivery, quality and adherence to programme.
• Organise and chair regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Interface with Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, client agents and site staff to discharge SRM obligations.
