Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine in Oxford is seeking a Package Engineer to drive the delivery of a major project delivering laboratories and research facilities.

You will coordinate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure works meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.

The role requires interfacing across disciplines, experience in package management, and a proactive approach to planning and progress meetings.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Experience within Piling, Structures, Demolition and Data capture.
• Ability to prepare a 3 week look-ahead programme with assistance of project planner.
• Proven working experience in package management.
• Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Construction industry professional membership (e.g ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc) or working towards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage designated work packages to ensure safety, quality and programme.
• Organise and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors.
• Keep Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director updated on all issues.
