Are you a compassionate, reliable individual with a background or interest in support work? We’re looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide flexible support for a creative, independent individual with a hearing impairment living alone. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life. Start date will be as soon as possible with a pay rate of £12.40 per hour.

Main Responsibilities: Domestic tasks, including: Laundry, Cleaning, Meal preparation, Community access – support with attending activities, appointments, and days out, Shopping and running errands, Support with personal care – washing and dressing, Prompting and assistance with: Medication ordering, Medical appointments, Correspondence, General home maintenance (e.g., changing bedding).

Essential Information: Hours: Flexible, with current needs on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Additional hours may become available. Driving: A full driver’s license is essential. A walker is used for day trips and folds for transport. Experience: Prior experience in support or care work is desired. DBS Check: Required – funded by Direct Payments (£44). COVID Vaccines: Not required. Sensitivity: Must avoid strong perfumes/fragrances due to scent sensitivity (e.g., lavender can cause migraines).

About You: Respectful, reliable, and empathetic. Friendly and enjoys spending time on creative and outdoor activities. Flexible with scheduling. Comfortable supporting someone who is hearing impaired.

Interests: You’ll be supporting someone with a passion for art, photography, nature, music, and days out – shared interests are a plus!

Other Notes: Pets: None in the household.
