Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association Limited is seeking a Night Porter for the Branching Out service in Newark to provide a calm, reassuring presence overnight. You will help keep the environment safe, support young people, and ensure the service runs smoothly. You will carry out health and safety checks, manage sign-ins, record incidents and repairs, and respond to emergencies.

Training is provided. The role precisely requires working four overnight shifts per week (37 hours total), 8:45

Qualifications

• Carrying out regular health and safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire safety equipment.
• Managing visitor and resident sign-in procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Recording and reporting repairs, accidents, incidents, complaints, antisocial behaviour and potential risks in line with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and help young people with issues or concerns while also managing the site.
• Conduct safety checks and operate surveillance of the building.
• Maintain logs and provide effective handovers to colleagues.
• Respond to and manage emergency situations involving the building, residents, visitors or colleagues.
