Job summary

Bedspace is seeking a dedicated Outreach Support Worker based from our Liverpool office to cover the Merseyside area. You will manage a caseload, support young people in developing independent living skills, and liaise with professionals to safeguard and promote wellbeing.

You will drive within the region, maintain detailed reports, and help young people access education and employment while working with multi-agency teams in a person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience with young vulnerable adults 16+.
• Full driving licence and vehicle insured for business use.
• Safeguarding vulnerable adults and children knowledge.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.
• Computer literate.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Experience of working with multi-agencies.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload across Merseyside; help build independent living skills.
• Liaise with Social Workers, Healthcare practitioners, DWP, and the Police.
• Write detailed reports assessing a service user's living skills.
• Conduct weekly inspections of Service User properties.
• Support access to education and employment.
• Promote wellbeing and de-escalate challenging situations when needed.
• Signpost to mental health, drug rehab, counselling, and education services.
