Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience (paid or voluntary) in a support role.
• Background in working with people facing mental health, health-related, or employment challenges.
• Understanding of housing support needs and welfare benefits.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Role overview:

This role is for a housing association, supporting vulnerable individuals across Colchester and Tendring to live independently, maintain their tenancies, and build confidence and life skills. You will work directly with clients in their homes, helping them navigate welfare benefits, access services, and overcome challenges related to mental health, physical health, or employment, while promoting resilience and self-sufficiency.

• Liaise with external agencies to ensure appropriate support is in place
