Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an organised Referral Booking Team member to manage outpatient referrals, waiting lists, and appointment scheduling. The role requires methodical IT use of the e-Referral system and strong communication skills to ensure accurate processing and efficient clinic utilisation.

You will support cancer referral processes and participate in the hospital's digital transformation, including the forthcoming electronic patient record

Qualifications

• Good IT skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate the national e-Referral system, ensuring capacity is utilised effectively and efficiently.
• Register and process outpatient referral letters through the various means of receipt into the hospital.
• Administer outpatient waiting lists and schedule both new and follow-up outpatient appointments.
• Ensure optimum use of outpatient clinics and compliance with relevant policy and procedure.
• Support the Cancer Two Week Wait Administrator and provide cover for cancer referral process from referral receipt to booking stage.
• Assist as part of the broader digital transformation, including implementation of the electronic patient record (EPR).
