Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Outpatient Booking Officer to coordinate outpatient services, manage patient tracking lists, and book and validate appointments on EPR. The role supports clinicians, optimises clinic capacity, and maintains accurate patient records for a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient administration or booking is preferred.
• Ability to manage patient records accurately.
• Knowledge of EPR and referral pathways is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical details added to EPR in a timely manner.
• Book and validate appointments on EPR and triage referrals within 48 hours.
• Manage patient tracking lists (PTL) and attend weekly PTL meetings.
• Monitor RTT and cancer pathways to prevent delays or breaches.
• Coordinate cancellations and re-book clinics to maximise elective capacity.
• Support clinicians and optimise clinic capacity while maintaining high patient experience.
