Landmarc Support Services is on the lookout for a Training Area Operative to join their dedicated team. This role is essential in providing a secure training environment for the UK Armed Forces.

The position offers outdoor work, full training, and an excellent opportunity for personal development. Key responsibilities include maintaining firing ranges, grounds maintenance, and operational tasks related to vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of landscape or grounds maintenance.
• Basic IT skills with confidence using a tablet.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety protocols and safe systems of work.
• Must hold a full valid UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and preparation of firing ranges for safe military training.
• Carrying out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Construction, repair and deployment of targets.
• Grounds maintenance including fencing, mowing and strimming.
• Supporting forestry tasks such as removal of fallen trees.
• Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Driving and operating fleet vehicles.
• Using warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights.
• Ensuring facilities adhere to strict safety protocols.
