Landmarc Support Services is recruiting a Training Area Operative to join our team supporting the UK Defence Training Estate. This role helps maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable environment for Armed Forces to train.

You will work outdoors with shifts from 06:00–23:30, at Lydd Camp, and receive full training and opportunities for career progression. Ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work; Landmarc offers great benefits including a pension, health plan, and professional development

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge of landscape maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety protocols.
• A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and preparation of firing ranges for safe military training.
• Carrying out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Construction, repair and deployment of targets.
• Grounds maintenance including fencing, mowing and strimming.
• Supporting forestry tasks such as removal of fallen trees (training provided).
• Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training provided).
• Driving and operating fleet vehicles.
• Using warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights.
• Ensuring facilities adhere to strict safety protocols and safe systems of work.
• Completing documentation using IT systems and paper‑based records.

Landmarc Support Services is recruiting a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team supporting the UK Defence Training Estate. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, efficient and sustainable environment for our Armed Forces to train.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a positive can-do attitude, and is keen to develop new skills. Role Details

Salary: £28,992.67

Annual Allowance: £1,127.50 for working weekends

Shifts run between: Mon- Sun, 06:00 – 23:30

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week

Location: Lydd Camp, Lydd, Romney Marsh, Kent, TN29 9JR
