Landmarc Support Services is recruiting a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team supporting the UK Defence Training Estate. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, efficient and sustainable environment for our Armed Forces to train.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Landmarc provides the essential support services that enable Armed Forces to train for frontline operations across the UK Defence Training Estate. We maintain safe, sustainable infrastructure, operate training areas and ranges, and deliver major projects that enhance vital military training assets. Maintenance and preparation of firing ranges for safe military training
Carrying out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks
Construction, repair and deployment of targets
Grounds maintenance including fencing, mowing and strimming
Supporting forestry tasks such as removal of fallen trees (training provided)
Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training provided)
Driving and operating fleet vehicles
Using warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights
Ensuring facilities adhere to strict safety protocols and safe systems of work
Completing documentation using IT systems and paper-based records
Knowledge of landscape or grounds maintenance
Basic IT skills with confidence using a tablet
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment
Good understanding of Health & Safety protocols and safe systems of work
Previous experience in construction, grounds maintenance or similar (desirable)
Must hold a full valid UK manual driving licence
