The Parking Services Officer role at Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is based at Glan yr Afon Depot, Aberystwyth. The job involves patrolling parking locations across Ceredigion, supporting car parks, and promoting road safety while providing friendly, helpful service to residents and visitors.

You’ll work outdoors, on a 37-hour week with a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays. Welsh language ability or willingness to develop it is welcomed, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with the public in a customer-focused environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using handheld devices and technology.

Responsabilités

• Patrol on-street and off-street parking locations across Ceredigion.
• Support operation of council car parks and parking equipment.
• Identify and report issues affecting parking facilities and traffic management.
• Provide advice and assistance to residents, businesses and visitors.
• Monitor parking compliance and issue penalties when appropriate.
