Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking two Parking Services Officers to patrol on-street and off-street parking across Ceredigion, including Aberystwyth. This outdoor role supports road safety, improves access to town centres and helps keep traffic moving while engaging with residents, businesses and visitors.

The posts are permanent, full-time (37 hours/week) on a rota including weekends). Induction and training are provided, with opportunities to achieve the City & Guilds Level 2

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with the public in a customer-focused environment.
Ability to manage workload and work as part of a team.
Professional judgement and fair application of rules.

Responsibilities

Patrol on-street and off-street parking locations across Ceredigion.
Support operation of council car parks and parking equipment.
Identify and report issues affecting parking facilities and traffic management.
Provide advice to residents, businesses and visitors.
Monitor parking compliance and issue Penalty Charge Notices.
