Job summary

Boots Opticians in Eastbourne is seeking a Retail Assistant to be the first point of contact for customers on the shop floor, helping them choose eyewear and services. You will greet customers, support eye-tests pre-screening activities and assist with dispensing to find the right solution.

You will develop through our industry-leading 'Step Into Optics' training, gaining workshop-based learning and on-the-job experience while maintaining high store standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer care focus and listening skills.
• Desire to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Retail or clinical environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, dispensing and collection of glasses and contact lenses.
• Supporting eye-tests and pre-screening activities.
• Providing aftercare support through repairs and adjustments.
• Completing dispensing prescriptions administrative tasks.
• Maintaining shop floor standards.
