Job summary

Boots UK Opticians is seeking a Retail Assistant to be the friendly first and last point of contact in-store, helping customers find the right eyewear and services while building lasting relationships. You will work on the shop floor, participate in pre-screening activities for eye tests, and support dispensing glasses and contact lenses with ongoing training through our Step Into Optics programme.

Based in our Boots Opticians store, you’ll report to the store manager, enjoy discretionary

Qualifications

• Customer care skills and a friendly approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop in optics.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and understand their needs to recommend products.
• Assist with eye-tests and pre-screening activities.
• Order, dispense and collect glasses and contact lenses.
• Provide aftercare, repairs and adjustments.
• Maintain shop floor standards and complete dispensing administration.
