Job summary

Veolia in Basildon is hiring a Recycling Operative to join our frontline team. You will manually pick recyclate items from a moving conveyor belt, assist with yard duties and help keep the picking cabin safe and clean at the end of each shift.

We look for reliable team players who can stand for long periods, work outdoors in varying conditions, and follow health and safety standards. The role is full-time, based on a 37.5-hour week, with opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities

• Manually pick recyclate items from a moving conveyor belt.
• Carry out yard duties including moving returned bins and sweeping as required.
• Clean down picking cabin at shift end to keep it hazard-free.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
