Job summary

Veolia in Folkestone, Kent, is recruiting for a 3.5 T Driver/Operative. You will carry out street cleaning, ensure gullies are clear, and manage litter bins in your beat. You’ll check vehicle condition and drive Veolia’s fleet with the required training.

Essential: Category B licence and 3.5 Tonne driving experience; a basic understanding of health & safety and teamwork. Employer offers training, pension, leaves and wellbeing resources.

Responsibilities

• Manual sweeping of streets and areas including footways and around street furniture.
• Keep gullies clear and manage sweepings without blocking grids.
• Empty litter bins and replace liners; collect sweeper bags for disposal.
• Report graffiti or damaged bins to your supervisor.
• Check vehicle condition and ride readiness; drive Veolia vehicles with training.
