Job summary

M Group is seeking a Highway works operative to support infrastructure maintenance, renewal and improvements. You will ensure correct utility drawings are in place before installation and contribute to safe, compliant site operations for road users.

The role offers a safety-first, client-focused environment with opportunities to grow and develop within the team. Responsibilities include setting up sites in line with Highways specifications, feeding back installation details promptly and ensuring

Qualifications

• Have you gained Water hygiene card, Water SHEA or CSCS?
• Do you hold a Streetworks Operative Qualification?
• Do you hold a full Driving License?
• Are you qualified in Emergency First Aid, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling?

Responsibilities

• Set up work sites to ensure compliance with Highways and Safety standards for the public and road users.
• Carry out ground breaking, excavating and reinstatement work to Health and Safety Standards and Highways Specifications.
• Ensure installation details are fed back promptly and that equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose.

What will you be doing?

You’ll ensure all correct utility drawings are available before starting any installation and that all work is carried out to the highest standard and meets local highways authority requirements.

You’ll be responsible for setting up the work sites to ensure compliance for the Highways and Safety for the General public and road users along with breaking Ground, Excavating, Reinstating all to Health and Safety Standard and Highways Specifications.

We’ll need you to make sure that all details of installations are fed back correctly and in good time and that equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose.

What you’ll bring
