Job summary

M Group is seeking a skilled field technician for its clean water metering team in the UK. You will install new connections and metering, tapping into water mains with drills and electrofusion, and perform chlorine and ammonia testing in line with safety standards.

As part of the role you will use the FYLD app to log tasks, maintain high quality workmanship, and bring a positive attitude to a team prioritising safety and reliability in water services.

Qualifications

  • Full Street Works accreditation is required.
  • Excavator tickets are preferred or required.
  • Experience in the water industry is desirable.
  • SHEA Water certification is desirable.
  • Water Hygiene training is desirable.
  • Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install new connections and metering using appropriate equipment to tap into water mains.
  • Carry out chlorine and ammonia testing in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Use the FYLD app to complete tasks and maintain quality of work.
  • Bring a positive attitude and take pride in the quality of work.

This role will be within our our clean water metering team that safeguards the quality, reliability, and performance of drinking water across our region. We work across complex network systems, enhancing, maintaining, installing, and repairing infrastructure from pipes to water meters, to ensure consistently high-water quality. Through proactive network management and resilient engineering, we help ensure communities have safe, dependable water supplies every day.

What you’ll be doing?

You’ll be installing new connections and metering while using Talbot drills, J2 drills, and electrofusion to tap into a range of water mains.

You’ll be carrying out chlorine and ammonia testing, following all health and safety requirements, and using the FYLD app to complete your tasks.

You’ll be bringing a positive attitude and taking pride in the quality of your work.

What you'll bring?
