Operations Support Executive

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Operations Support Executive to join our Operations Depot in North Acton, London. The role involves supporting our drivers and ensuring smooth shift operations.

Salary: Starting at £33,750 per annum, with potential to earn up to £37,000 as you progress.

About First Mile

First Mile is London’s leading recycling service, serving over 30,000 locations. We need a capable individual to coordinate our drivers and fleet, ensuring efficient operations.

The Role

The Operations Support Executive facilitates daily operational functions, assisting Transport and Service Supervisors by managing administrative tasks related to fleet and driver coordination.

Shifts

Two shifts are available, operating on a 4 days on, 2 days off rota, with each shift lasting 10 hours. Start times alternate to support various rounds:

  • AM: 06:00 - 16:00 / 08:00 - 18:00
  • PM: 18:00 - 04:00 / 20:00 - 06:00
Responsibilities
  • Support dispatch and administrative tasks, reporting to Ops Supervisors
  • Manage driver issues and communicate updates to the team
  • Coordinate between shifts to ensure continuity
  • Assist with holiday coverage and customer-related issue resolution
  • Maintain logs of driver and vehicle activities
  • Support dispatching drivers efficiently, including on weekends
  • Contribute to investigations into customer issues
