Job summary

Connect2Swindon is recruiting an Operational Works Scheduler on a temporary contract in Swindon to support Swindon Council. The role involves planning day-to-day operations, allocating and re-booking jobs, and managing appointments to meet SLAs and KPIs.

You will use Dynamic Resource Scheduler and other IT systems, act as the first point of contact for operational teams, and coordinate pre-/post-inspections, reactive and scheduled repairs with up to 30 operatives.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade A–C or equivalent.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with scheduling software such as Dynamic Resource Scheduler or equivalent.
• Familiarity with databases and data management.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day scheduling across all operations, ensuring jobs are allocated, attended and re-booked as needed.
• Monitor scheduling systems and ensure appointments are kept; report failings to senior planner/operational supervisors.
• Work within a multi-skilled IT environment to match needs of operational services.
• Act as first point of contact for operational teams via the scheduling line and support customer calls when required.
• Plan work for inspections, reactive and scheduled repairs and deliveries, prioritising emergencies with up to 30 operatives.
• Ensure work orders are scheduled to SLAs and completed within target KPIs.
• Contact customers to inform them of changes to appointments.
