Job summary

Encore is seeking an proactive Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of prestigious residential estates in the South of England. You will travel between Bristol, Portsmouth and other locations, leading site-based teams to deliver a 5-star standard of soft facilities services with strong compliance.

You’ll support budgeting, process implementation, recruitment and training, and work to continuously improve service quality and profitability while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• People management experience is essential.
• IOSH Managing Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification (required).
• IWFM qualification or willingness to work towards this is essential.
• Experience in facilities or operational management is desirable.
• Strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential); experience with FM software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist site-based teams to deliver high standards and consistent service across multiple estates.
• Help implement policies to maintain a 5-star approach, oversee rotas, and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Support budget monitoring, cost control, and achievement of financial targets.
• Assist with recruitment, training, appraisals, and staff development.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure SLAs are met or exceeded.
• Help mobilise new sites, implement SOPs, and maintain compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
• Prepare monthly reports on service performance, compliance and budgets.
• Act as a point of escalation for operational issues.
