Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team and oversee safe, respectful and effective delivery of services at a unique facility in Kidlington. You will drive operational performance while promoting an inclusive staff culture and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and fairness.

Key duties include leading teams to high performance, maintaining a strong leadership presence, and ensuring compliance with contractual, financial and Home Office

Qualifications

• Significant management experience in a custodial/detention/complex operational environment.
• Strong governance, compliance and risk management knowledge.
• Proven ability to analyse data, manage competing priorities and drive improvements.
• Confident leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and social value.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support teams to deliver high standards of performance and resident-centred care.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence and participate in the Duty Director and Duty Manager rota.
• Ensure staffing, operational delivery and compliance meet contractual, financial and Home Office standards.
• Build a culture focused on dignity, inclusion, wellbeing, safeguarding and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
