Job summary

Mitie in the Sussex region is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage a portfolio of retail and corporate clients. You will ensure contract compliance, develop staff and client relationships, and drive process improvements while maintaining profitability.

The role includes duty manager responsibilities on rotation, HR accountability, and liaison with external authorities. You will lead a site operations team and coordinate with subject-matter support functions to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in region of contract value of £3M minimum.
• Ability to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbally and electronically.
• Ability to manage, develop, support and coach.
• Highly motivated and determined.
• Approachable and engaging at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract compliance in line with KPIs, AI’s and SOP.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and staff.
• Ensure compliance to all business processes and drive improvements.
• Deliver the best possible service for the customer.
• HR accountability and P&L control for the portfolio.
• Duty Manager responsibilities on rotation.
• Utilise company support functions where appropriate and required.
• Adhere to Agreed Procedures, BCP and ERP.
• Act as the direct point of contact for the client in the absence of the Security Manager or Deputy Security Manager.
• Control of site operational team including scheduling shifts and ensuring full coverage.
• Ensure all contractual and additional work are fully staffed with trained personnel.
• Support the Regional Management Team.
• Ensure compliance to Mitie health and safety policy.
• Liaison with external authorities.
