Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Operations Manager to cover a portfolio of retail and corporate clients across the Sussex region. The role focuses on maintaining strong customer and staff relationships, ensuring contractual compliance, and driving process improvements.

You will oversee HR accountability, P&L control, and act as duty manager on rotation, coordinating with support functions as needed to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in region of contract value of £3M minimum
• Ability to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbally and electronically
• Ability to manage, develop, support and coach
• Excellent PC skills
• Highly motivated and determined
• Approachable and engaging at all levels

Responsibilities

• Operational contract compliance in line with KPI's, AI's and SOP
• Development and maintenance of customer / staff relationships
• Compliance to all business processes and improvement
• Ensuring best service for the customer
• HR accountability
• P&L control
• Duty Manager responsibilities on rotation
• Utilising company support functions where appropriate and required
• Adherence to Agreed Procedures, BCP and ERP
• Act as the direct point of contact for the client in the absence of the Security Manager or Deputy Security Manager
• Control of site operational team including scheduling shifts and ensuring full coverage
• HR people management experience
• Ensuring all contractual and additional work are fully staffed with the correct trained personnel.
• Supporting the Regional Management Team.
• Ensuring compliance to Mitie health and safety policy
• Liaison with external authorities
