Our client is a well-established firm of Independent Financial Planners, providing bespoke financial solutions to both private and corporate clients. They are now seeking an Operations Manager to join their expanding team in the Redditch area. They are looking for a driven and enthusiastic candidate who can provide an exceptional level of support to their advisers and clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Report to the Directors of Pinnacle Financial Planning and support them by recommending corrective actions and improvements to company operations.
  2. Ensure knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations, including Consumer Duty.
  3. Lead projects as agreed with all stakeholders.
  4. Monitor and review operational performance and business strategy to maximize productivity.
  5. Develop, recommend, and implement strategies to improve processes and workflows.
  6. Review and streamline operational costs and company profitability.
  7. Manage Business Support and Paraplanning teams to deliver optimal productivity, including effective training on best practices, technical queries, and company procedures.
  8. Undertake staff recruitment, probation reviews, and ongoing staff appraisals.
  9. Work closely with the Compliance Manager.
  10. Serve as the point of contact for technical questions.
  11. Oversee all back-office staff reporting to the Operations Manager, including holiday requests.
  12. Collaborate with all staff and advisers to support the company’s development and objectives, carrying out all tasks efficiently and courteously.
  13. Maintain own diary to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding work.

Experience and Skills:

  1. Holders of Diploma in Financial Planning, preferably with some Advanced Qualifications or other recognized industry qualifications.
  2. Experience in paraplanning and technical report writing.
  3. Experience managing staff.
  4. Proficiency in Intelligent Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  5. Ideally, experience working with platforms and dealing with commissions and fees on Intelligent Office.
