Job summary

MacStaff is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a multi-site manufacturing operation in Leicester. You will own day-to-day production, performance and continuous improvement, steering teams to deliver on time, on budget and to the highest standards.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage budgets, plan production, coordinate capacity and suppliers, and champion Lean, HSE and a strong safety culture across the site network.

• Proven Operations Management or senior manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong manufacturing, production or fabrication knowledge.
• Experience leading busy, multi-process operations.

• Strong production planning and organisational capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities across multiple sites.
• Take ownership of end-to-end production and operational performance.
• Develop and execute effective production plans and schedules.

• Ensure projects and customer requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee supply chain, procurement, inventory, WIP and finished goods.
• Drive quality standards and operational compliance.
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, costs, KPIs and reporting.
• Improve labour, machinery and resource utilisation.
• Champion Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and operational efficiency.
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and HSE compliance.
• Recruit, lead, coach and develop operational and production teams.
