Job summary

RE Recruitment's client, a growing manufacturing and engineering business in Gloucestershire, is hiring an Operations Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive Lean and Continuous Improvement, manage budgets and costs, and ensure Health & Safety compliance, working closely with engineering, supply chain and quality teams to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Commercial awareness and cost improvement experience.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety within manufacturing/engineering.
• People management and team development skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
• Support the implementation of operational improvement plans aligned with business objectives.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the business.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvement plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage budgets and cost control initiatives.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture while complying with policies and legislation.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and quality teams to support growth and operational excellence.

• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
