As Operations Manager, you will lead your area through people to drive an industry-leading craft product and customer experience that delivers brand loyalty and results. You will be a leader demonstrating an uncompromising approach to delivering our purpose and values in your day-to-day activities, strategic planning, and prioritization for the longer term, to bring a vision to your area while remaining connected to the bigger picture.

Key responsibilities

Leading with DRIVE you will:

  • Set direction by building on previous successes, establishing the way forward, and implementing impactful ways of working in your area.
  • Motivate and engage your team and managers by communicating the shared vision and goals, and helping each role in the bakery understand its impact on results.
  • Set objectives for your area to drive like-for-like improvement, identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity, while staying true to our purpose and love for baking.
  • Contribute to the bigger picture by developing and executing brand-wide initiatives and leading change by inspiring your team.

Leading to DELIVER:

  • Advocate for change, plan and prioritize effectively, and approach business challenges logically to inspire agility in a changing market.
  • Stay informed about market and industry trends, analyze data, and identify growth opportunities while adjusting controls to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with your team to break down business goals into actionable deliverables for day, week, month, quarter, and year.
  • Protect the GAIL’s brand by ensuring compliance with standards, health and safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.

Leading through PEOPLE:

  • Develop strong connections with your team, helping individuals grow and succeed within GAIL’s.
  • Care for your team members by listening, understanding their ambitions, and motivating them to excel and find happiness in their work.
