Job summary

Kaluza is seeking a Business Operations Engineer to own and evolve the technical systems powering P&T Business Operations. You’ll shape Jira architectures, data pipelines, dashboards and integrations with enterprise platforms, balancing trade-offs and delivery speed.

The role requires a hands-on, AI-forward mindset and collaboration with the Business Operations Manager. Based in the UK with hybrid working across Bristol and London, you’ll drive scalable operational tooling while ensuring

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building and maintaining operational tooling.
• Strong Jira expertise (including JQL) and Confluence.
• Experience with APIs/integrations and data exchange, SQL + basic scripting, BI tools, AI tools and automation.
• Experience building data pipelines or automated workflows with practical understanding of keeping them reliable at scale.
• Confident in identifying improvements, breaking down problems and delivering independently.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Jira and data systems and related integrations.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards for decision-making; explore AI agents for automation.
• Identify opportunities for new capabilities and design solutions aligned with the operations manager.
• Connect internal products and platforms and evaluate what to build or integrate with clear trade-offs.
• Anticipate security, compliance, and regulatory constraints upfront.
• Spot issues in data, processes, or tools and fix them before they impact others.
• Iterate on tooling and share learnings openly with the team.
