Job summary

Highland Plumbing & Heating Supplies, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking an Operations Assistant in Tain, Scotland. You will handle warehouse duties, assist customers on the trade counter, and respond to calls and emails with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.

The role operates 42.5 hours weekly, Mon-Fri 7:30–5, with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8–12 paid as overtime. Forklift experience is helpful; a full UK driving licence is preferred for relief deliveries.

Qualifications

• General warehouse experience and ability to handle stock and merchandising.
• Good communication skills for customer interactions on trade counter.
• Willingness to learn and take on training.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse duties: picking, packing, goods in/out, and merchandising.
• Assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations.
