Job summary

Wolseley Group in Peterborough is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our busy branch. You will handle general warehouse duties, pick and pack stock, load and unload vehicles, and ensure the workspace complies with health and safety rules.

You will support the Trade Counter with outstanding customer service and work as part of a dependable team, with a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work quickly and safely are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers.
• Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Able to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines.
• Able to handle a physically demanding job.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• General Warehouse duties
• Picking and packing stock, which will involve some heavy lifting
• Loading/unloading vehicles safely
• Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures
• You will need to support the Trade Counter as required providing exceptional customer service at all times.
