NurtureCare, based in Nottingham, is seeking an Operational Manager to lead day-to-day service delivery and workforce planning. The role supports the Operational Director and Registered Manager to ensure safe, effective services.

This full-time position (40 hours per week) is office-based with on-call responsibilities and a salary of £28,000 to £35,000 plus on-call retainer payments. A hands-on role focused on growth, quality and compliance.

This is a hands-on operational role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with our Operational Director and Registered Manager, supporting service delivery, workforce management, quality assurance, compliance, recruitment and service development.

What You'll Be Doing

As Operational Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our services are safe, effective and responsive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the operational management of community care services
• Leading recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities
• Managing and supporting the Rota Coordinator and wider operational teams
• Monitoring service quality, compliance and governance activity
• Supporting safeguarding investigations and risk management processes
• Mobilising new care packages and supporting business growth
• Building positive relationships with commissioners, professionals and partner organisations
• Supporting budget monitoring and operational performance
• Helping maintain CQC compliance and inspection readiness across services

Desirable Experience

• Experience within health, social care, community care or regulated services
• Knowledge of CQC standards and governance requirements
• Experience of workforce planning, scheduling or recruitment
• Line management or supervisory experience
• Experience working with commissioners, healthcare professionals or local authorities

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm
• Participation in the on-call rota is required and attracts an additional retainer payment.
