About the Role

As Registered Care Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership, quality and performance of your service.

You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact - not only on the lives of the customers receiving care, but also on the careers and development of the people you lead.

You'll create a positive, high-performing culture where your team feels valued, supported and motivated to deliver the very best care.

Alongside your people leadership responsibilities, you'll take ownership of service quality, regulatory compliance, customer experience, financial performance and growth.

This is a varied role that combines leadership, operational management, relationship building and commercial responsibility, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys having influence and making things happen.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of care professionals.
  • Create a positive culture where colleagues feel supported, valued and able to progress.
  • Ensure customers receive safe, personalised and consistently high-quality care.
  • Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure the service operates in line with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Take ownership of audits, action plans and continuous improvement.
  • Identify areas for improvement and ensure actions are implemented effectively.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with customers and their families.
  • Develop relationships with GPs, healthcare professionals, local authorities and other key community partners.
  • Build the profile and reputation of the service within the local community.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the customer base and develop the service.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams across Operations, People, Quality, Finance and Marketing.
  • Monitor KPIs and use performance data to drive improvements.
  • Take responsibility for budgets, financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Ensure the service is well planned, organised and appropriately resourced.
  • Support recruitment, retention, performance management and colleague development.
  • Share best practice with fellow managers and the wider leadership team.
  • Work closely with your Area Care Manager to deliver regional objectives and embed a culture of excellence.
About You

We're looking for an ambitious and capable leader who combines strong people skills with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for care.

You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, developing people and finding ways to continuously improve a service.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets and overall business performance.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • An understanding of quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
  • The ability to analyse data and use information to make effective decisions.
  • Confidence working with technology, systems and digital platforms.
  • Experience working with third-party providers, contractors or external partners.
  • The resilience to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach.
  • A genuine passion for people, care and delivering positive outcomes.
Care Experience

Previous experience within the care sector or a related environment would be highly desirable.

Ideally, you'll have previous management experience within care and a good understanding of relevant regulatory standards, including CQC or CIW requirements.

A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Care would be advantageous. However, if you don't currently hold the qualification but have the right experience and are willing to work towards it, you will also be considered.

A Great Place to Build Your Career

This is more than simply an opportunity to manage a care branch.

You'll be joining a large and successful organisation with the resources, structure and ambition to continue growing.

That scale brings genuine opportunities. As the organisation expands, so do the opportunities for its people. You'll have the chance to develop your leadership capability, broaden your operational experience and position yourself for future progression.

For ambitious managers, this could be an excellent stepping stone towards larger services, increased responsibility and senior operational or regional leadership roles.

You'll also benefit from working alongside experienced leaders and specialist teams across Operations, Quality, People, Finance and Marketing, giving you access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

The organisation places real value on developing its people and creating opportunities for colleagues who demonstrate commitment, leadership and strong performance.

If you're ready to take the next step in your care leadership career and join a growing organisation that can offer genuine long-term progression, we'd love to hear from you.

Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
