Job description

The purpose of this job is to assist in the efficiency and effectiveness of the wholesale division by ensuring all administration tasks are completed timeously. This will result in achieving customer satisfaction, generating sales, promoting the business, and creating sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Daily capturing of transfers for the group onto drivers' logsheet.
  2. Ensure the daily logsheet duties are completed and handed to the Supervisor.
  3. Arrange for all stock to be dispatched to other branches, with all stock items accompanied by the correct documentation.
  4. Complete all filing daily.
  5. Ensure the capturing of dispatch reports is completed.
  6. Sort and group all stock by branch.
  7. Check all stock and ensure it corresponds with the transfer document before packing onto the relevant branch pallet.
  8. Pack and palletize all checked stock.
  9. Ensure the dispatch department is not left unattended at any time.
  10. Liaise with the store regarding stock transfers.
  11. Maintain housekeeping standards at all times.
  12. Participate in perpetual stock takes.
  13. Perform any work-related tasks delegated by a superior.
Requirements
  1. Matric or three completed intercept courses totaling 120 credits.
  2. Candidates without Matric but with 2 years' industry experience; 2 years in a stock-related function; or an NQF 3 Stock Management course (minimum 54 credits) will be considered.
  3. Brights Induction (Service Excellence).
  4. At least 2 years' experience in a stock-related function.
  5. Proficiency with internal K8 system.
  6. Planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  7. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels.
  8. Ability to handle pressure.
  9. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Internet, Email, Word, Excel).
  10. Policy and procedure driven.
  11. Accuracy, discipline, and motivation.
