Job description

The purpose of this job is to assist in the efficiency and effectiveness of the wholesale division by ensuring all administration tasks are completed timeously. This will result in achieving customer satisfaction, generating sales, promoting the business, and creating sustainable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Daily capturing of transfers for the group onto drivers logsheet.
  2. Ensure the daily logsheet duties are completed and handed to the Supervisor.
  3. Ensure that all stock is arranged to be dispatched to other branches, with all stock items accompanied by the correct documentation.
  4. Ensure all filing is done daily.
  5. Ensure the capturing of dispatch reports is completed.
  6. Ensure all stock is sorted and grouped by branch.
  7. Ensure all stock is checked and corresponds with the transfer document before being packed onto the relevant branch pallet.
  8. Ensure all stock is packed and palletized after being checked.
  9. Ensure that the dispatch department is not left unattended at any time.
  10. Liaise with the store regarding stock transfers.
  11. Maintain house-keeping standards at all times.
  12. Participate in perpetual stock takes.
  13. Perform any work-related tasks as delegated by a superior.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Matric or three completed intercept courses equating to a total of 120 credits.
  2. Candidates with no Matric but with 2 years’ experience in the industry, 2 years in stock-related functions, or an NQF 3 Stock Management course at minimum 54 credits will be considered.
  3. Brights Induction (Service Excellence).
  4. 2 years in stock-related functions.
  5. 2 years’ experience in the industry.
  6. Competent with internal K8 system.
  7. Planning, time management, and organizing skills.
  8. Effective communication skills (verbal & written) at all levels.
  9. Ability to handle pressure.
  10. Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Internet, E-mails, Word & Excel).
  11. Policy and procedure driven.
  12. Accuracy, discipline, and motivation.
