Job summary

Martin-Baker Aircraft Company Ltd in Chalgrove is seeking a Pyro Inspector in our inspection department to verify parts and ensure efficient inspection activities that support lifesaving ejector seats.

After probation, the role shifts to 4 on/4 off, 7am–16:30 onsite. You will perform testing/inspection/booking of Pyrotechnic components and contribute to quality assurance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Inspection experience in aerospace/defence or automotive sectors.
• Strong data analysis, numeracy and geometry skills.
• Good technical reasoning to understand tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings.
• Experience with inspection tools and gauges (verniers, micrometers).
• Desirable: AS9102 FAIR experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform self-inspection and quality checks against standards and support process improvements.
• Create and maintain inspection documentation per QA policy.
• Use SAP to record work in progress accurately.
• Track component batches through manufacture and update records.
• Record component locations and non-conforming products.
