Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Pyro Assembly Operative for the Chalgrove site in Oxfordshire. You will perform multi-skilled duties supporting ejector seat production, handling explosive materials with care, and ensuring assemblies meet drawings and tolerances.

You will update SAP and participate in self-inspection and quality checks, working with experts to gain engineering experience and career growth in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Basic production/manufacturing experience in a similar environment.
• Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully.
• Interpret assembly drawings and production documents to identify Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batches.
• Assemble accurately, to required tolerances.
• Use weighing equipment and tools relevant to specific batches.
• Undertake self-inspection and quality checks of work.
• Update SAP to record work in progress at all times.
