Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is working with a UK aerospace and defence manufacturer to appoint a Pyro Inspector in a precision manufacturing setting in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. You will inspect precision components, read engineering drawings, and use verniers and callipers to ensure parts meet exacting standards.

Qualifications

Pyro Inspector

Location: Chalgrove, Oxfordshire - 20minute drive from Oxford (Commutable by car from Oxford, Thame, Aylesbury, Abingdon, Didcot, Wheatley, Wallingford, Henley-on-Thames, High Wycombe, Bicester)

Salary: £32,500 basic | £39,000–£40,000 OTE including shift allowance

Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered)

This role would suit candidates with strong experience using handheld inspection tools (verniers, callipers), confidence reading engineering drawings, and a background in precision manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence, or automotive.

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring precision-engineered components meet stringent aerospace and defence standards prior to release.

Shift Pattern

This role will transition to a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern after probation, working 177 shifts per year. The shift pattern includes weekends and bank holidays, but excludes Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
