Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is working with a UK aerospace and defence manufacturer to appoint a Pyro Inspector in a precision manufacturing setting in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. You will inspect precision components, read engineering drawings, and use verniers and callipers to ensure parts meet exacting standards.

Qualifications

• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Hands-on inspection experience using verniers, callipers, and similar tools.
• Capable of working in metric and imperial measurements.
• Background in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting precision-engineered mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conducting detailed checks on safety-critical cartridges and equipment.
• Using handheld inspection tools such as verniers and callipers.
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
• Ensuring all parts meet aerospace and defence quality standards.
• Working collaboratively within a busy quality inspection team.
