Job summary

Rubix UKII is seeking an experienced On-site Manager to lead our operation at a key customer location in Melton Mowbray. You’ll own service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship, acting as the sole Rubix contact on site.

You’ll bring operational strength and commercial acumen to unite Rubix teams, suppliers and site stakeholders to deliver a safe, responsive and measurable value for the customer and Rubix.

Qualifications

• Strong operational leadership experience in on-site environments.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing costs, margins and working capital.
• Purchasing, inventory control and stock-accuracy processes knowledge.
• Experience using ERP/inventory systems to maintain controls.
• Solid understanding of HSEQ requirements and risk management.
• Experience tracking KPIs and conducting performance reviews.
• Ability to lead, coach and influence teams and cross-functional relationships.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Balance customer urgency with safety, contractual and commercial needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe and compliant operation with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Own day-to-day contract delivery, ensuring service levels and customer obligations.
• Act as primary Rubix contact on site, building relationships across functions.
• Lead and develop the site team, set standards and manage handovers.
• Manage stores activity and inventory including goods-in, put-away and returns.
• Oversee inventory performance, stock accuracy and supplier continuity.
• Own site commercial performance across sales, gross profit and costs.
• Deliver KPI, safety, financial, inventory and risk reporting with actions.
• Identify improvements through stock optimisation and process changes.
