Job summary

Rubix UKII in Wales is seeking an experienced Insite Manager to lead on-site operations at a key customer location. You will own service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship, acting as the single point of contact while coordinating Rubix teams, suppliers and site stakeholders to achieve safe, responsive, value-driven results.

Qualifications

  • Strong operational leadership experience in Insite, MRO, engineering stores, warehouse, supply-chain or similar customer-facing environments.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing sales, gross profit, margin, costs, forecasts or working capital.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, orderbook management, inventory control, perpetual counting and stock-accuracy processes.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory or stores-management systems to maintain accurate controls.
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements, risk assessments, safe systems of work and corrective-action management.
  • Experience managing KPIs, service recovery, operational risk and customer performance reviews.
  • Ability to lead, coach and influence others through direct or cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, written and digital skills and ability to interpret data and present recommendations.
  • Judgement to balance customer urgency with safety, contractual, commercial and policy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a safe and compliant operation with risk assessments, safe systems of work and corrective actions.
  • Own day-to-day contract delivery ensuring service levels, responsibilities and customer obligations are met.
  • Act as the primary Rubix contact on site, liaising with engineering, procurement, finance and leadership.
  • Lead and develop the site team, set standards, coach performance and ensure effective handovers.
  • Maintain control of stores activity: goods-in, putting away, booking-out, returns, repairs and customer enquiries.
  • Manage inventory and supply performance: stock accuracy, perpetual inventory, critical spares and stockouts.
  • Own site commercial performance: sales, gross profit, margin, cost-to-serve and working capital.
  • Deliver KPI, safety, financial, inventory and risk reporting with clear actions and owners.
  • Identify and deliver improvements through stock optimisation, supplier consolidation, product alternatives and process improvements.

We’re looking for an experienced Insite Manager to lead our on-site operation at a key customer location. As the senior Rubix representative on site, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship. You’ll provide the customer with one accountable point of contact while bringing together Rubix teams, suppliers and site stakeholders to deliver a safe, responsive and commercially successful operation.

This is an opportunity for an operationally strong and commercially aware leader to take real ownership, solve complex problems and create measurable value for both the customer and Rubix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a safe and compliant operation, maintaining effective risk assessments, safe systems of work, inspections and corrective actions.
  • Take ownership of day‑to‑day contract delivery, ensuring service levels, responsibilities, controls and customer obligations are clearly understood and achieved.
  • Act as the primary Rubix contact on site, building trusted relationships across engineering, procurement, finance, operations and senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop the site team where applicable, setting clear standards, coaching performance and creating resilient cover and effective handovers.
  • Maintain control of stores activity, including goods-in, put‑away, booking‑out, returns, repairs, transfers, housekeeping and customer enquiries.
  • Manage inventory and supply performance, including stock accuracy, perpetual inventory, critical spares, stockouts, supplier continuity and variance control.
  • Own site commercial performance across sales, gross profit, margin, cost‑to‑serve, working capital, forecasting and recovery activity.
  • Deliver accurate KPI, safety, financial, inventory and risk reporting, supported by clear actions, owners and timescales.
  • Identify and deliver measurable improvements through stock optimisation, supplier consolidation, product alternatives, digital adoption and process improvement.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience managing KPIs, service recovery, operational risk and structured customer performance reviews.
  • The ability to lead, coach and influence others, whether through direct line management or cross‑functional relationships.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, written and digital skills, with the confidence to interpret data and present clear recommendations.
  • The judgement to balance customer urgency with safety, contractual, commercial, technical and policy requirements.
