Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or technical work.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues logically and efficiently.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for laptops, desktops, peripherals and meeting room technology
• Diagnose and resolve straightforward IT incidents and service requests
• Configure, deploy and maintain end-user equipment
• Carry out meeting room technology checks and ensure rooms are ready for use
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
• Maintain equipment inventory records and stock information
• Escalate more complex issues to specialist support teams with clear diagnostic information
• Produce user guidance and technical documentation where required
• Contribute to IT projects and service improvement initiatives
• This role is primarily based in Winchester and will require travel to other Hampshire County Council locations when needed
