Job summary

Intec Select Ltd. is seeking an Onsite Hardware Engineer to maintain and repair enterprise server hardware in Southampton. The role focuses on diagnosing faults, performing break-fix work, and supporting HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge environments.

The successful candidate will work onsite in a business-critical setting, handle component replacements, document actions, and collaborate with customer and engineering teams to ensure service continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware fault diagnosis and repair.
• Hands-on repair of HP ProLiant servers (Gen10/Gen10 Plus/Gen11 or similar).
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers.
• Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience replacing server components (motherboards, CPUs, memory, RAID, PSUs, NICs).
• Ability to work in high-availability environments and communicate clearly.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

• Proven hardware, server or infrastructure support experience
• Hands-on repair of HP ProLiant (Gen10, Gen10 Plus, Gen11 or similar)
• Experience with Dell PowerEdge hardware
• Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Experience replacing motherboards, CPUs, memory, RAID controllers, PSUs, storage and NICs
• Comfortable in business-critical, high-availability environments
• Strong communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Location: Southampton

Salary: £40,000

Contract: 12-month FTC

Working pattern: Full-time, onsite
