Job summary

BlupaceTech is seeking a Desktop Technician for an on-site role in Bournemouth. You will provide day-to-day desktop support, handle inbound calls, troubleshoot hardware, software, and applications, and document steps in a ticketing system.

The role requires 3–5 years IT experience, English fluency, and readiness to work across shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Windows, AD, O365, and VDI/thin clients, plus basic network and security awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• CompTIA A+, MCP or better.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Windows 10-11, AD, GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of network devices like switches, routers, firewalls; ITSM familiarity.
• English speaker and well versed with local language.
• Mobile device management including iOS and Android; AD-based device management.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ServiceNow and meeting SLA targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
• Work with vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and MS Office 365.
• Support Mac OS basics to assist Apple users.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers and hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance on computers, laptops and printers.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation hardware/software.
• Coordinate with Service Desk and suppliers for on-site support visits.
