Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer in Northallerton to provide hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. You’ll resolve incidents, fulfill service requests and ensure users receive a responsive, high‑quality support experience.

Location: Northallerton (onsite full time). You’ll handle 2nd line fault resolution to SLA, install and configure software/hardware, and coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 OS; build, configuration, registry settings; Office proficiency.
• LTSC Channels and KIOSK desirable.
• Basic SCCM and Active Directory knowledge.
• Networking: LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE, VPN/remote connectivity.
• Exchange environment and Outlook experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents and service requests; work to SLA.
• 2nd line responsibility for incident resolution.
• Complete assigned tasks within allocated timeframes.
• Undertake project tasks and support Project Managers.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
