Fasthosts is seeking a 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Gloucester City Centre office on a 4-on, 4-off 12-hour shift pattern. This 100% onsite role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems while supporting teams across Europe.

The position offers a salary starting at £33,000 plus bonus, extensive annual leave, pension, private healthcare, and other perks. You will work across Windows and Linux, with exposure to virtualization, scripting, and networking

Qualifications

• Windows and Linux familiarity is essential.
• Foundational understanding of virtualization.
• Customer support experience with clear written and verbal communication.
• Remain calm under pressure with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, networks, and applications 24/7 and act on alerts.
• Provide 2nd-line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems.
• Perform core daily tasks and routine maintenance for security and performance.
• Identify root causes and work with teams to implement permanent fixes.
• Coordinate with core teams across Europe to deliver seamless service.
