Job summary

Fasthosts in Gloucester City Centre is seeking a 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer to keep our infrastructure fast and reliable. You will monitor servers, networks, and applications 24/7, and provide 2nd-line IT support to teams and customers across Europe.

Working Pattern: 4-on, 4-off shifts (12-hour days and nights) – this is an onsite role. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues and implement permanent fixes while coordinating with core teams across Europe.

Qualifications

• Hands-on familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
• A foundational understanding of virtualization.
• Customer support experience with clear written and verbal communication.
• A cool head under pressure and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, networks and applications 24/7 to detect alerts and act quickly.
• Provide 2nd-line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep platform security and performance.
• Identify root causes and work with teams to implement permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Europe to deliver seamless service.
