Job summary

Fasthosts, part of the IONOS Group, is hiring a 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer for our Gloucester City Centre office. This is a 100% onsite role with a 4-on, 4-off pattern and 12-hour shifts (two days, two nights).

You will monitor systems across Europe, troubleshoot issues, and keep services fast and reliable. You will work with Windows and Linux, use basic scripting perhaps, and collaborate with teams to implement permanent fixes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments.
• Foundational understanding of virtualization.
• Customer support experience with clear communication.
• Calm under pressure and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, networks and apps 24/7 and take swift action.
• Provide 2nd-line IT support via phone, email and tickets.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep systems secure and fast.
• Identify root causes and drive permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with European teams to resolve complex issues.
